The answer is a new front door
Shoppers can ask an AI assistant for the best dealer, a trustworthy service department, or the right store for a specific vehicle. The system composes an answer from sources it trusts. Your inventory alone does not explain why your dealership should be named.
Run a manual visibility baseline
Create ten questions that a real buyer or service customer would ask. Run the exact set in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google. Record whether the store appears, which competitors appear, what facts are wrong, and which sources are cited.
- Best [brand] dealer near [city]
- Where to service [brand/model] near [ZIP]
- Dealer with strong reviews for first-time buyers
- Where to find [model/trim] in [metro]
Fix what the systems can verify
Strengthen consistent entity facts, dealership-specific service and buying pages, recent reviews, structured data, and credible mentions outside the dealer website. Publish pages that answer actual customer questions in clear language.
Use a scorecard, not a vanity screenshot
Track the share of prompts where the store is mentioned, average position when listed, factual accuracy, competitor frequency, and the sources most often cited. Re-run the same prompt set monthly and annotate major content or reputation changes.
